Lovely small Egyptian brooch tested silver 800 or better, unknown green cabochon in bezel setting.Does have several marks, one I think is makers mark. One mark is from Egypt, the other is not readable. "EGYPT SILVER HALLMARKS I looked up these marks and found those on this brooch.EGYPTIAN MARKS FROM 19TH CENTURY TO PRESENT"Look at the closeups which show marks in a cartouche. Art Deco Style. Probably from the 1920s but that is only a guess.I've seen others like this but they had turquoise used as the stones in them.There are green colored stones like this used in Egyptian jewelry but I am not familiar with them.Measures 1 1/2 inch wide each way.
